REVIEW DUE TO DECLINE IN VALUE - PROPOSITION 8

If you feel your property has suffered a decline in value; that is, the current market (saleable) value of your property has fallen below the current assessed value as shown on the assessment roll, you may request a  free "Prop 8" decline in value reassessment by the your County Assessor. 

Each county does have different requirements to follow in order to obtain a reassessment review and possibly reduce your current property tax obligations. We have listed the  contact numbers and links to information on applying for property tax reassessments for each Southern California county (Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino) below:

SAN BERNARDINO: (909) 387-8307 Information on Decline in Value Reassessment - NOTE: You must complete and file your reassessment application during the annual filing period starting July 2nd - November 30th.
